WestEd is looking for an intern to conduct work with the Assessment for Learning team. This work will primarily involve supporting WestEd’s Formative Assessment team to organize and plan professional learning. Depending on the candidate’s experience, work tasks may also focus on conducting literature reviews focused on formative assessment, English learner, and learner agency.
With the guidance of WestEd staff, the intern will help with the following tasks:
- Contribute to the development of tools and products, including supporting the development of online learning resources
- Conduct reviews and synthesize research to contribute to literature review
- Contribute to survey design and implementation
- Code and analyze qualitative data
The intern should be an excellent writer and researcher with prior experience in reading academic articles, synthesizing information, and analyzing data. The intern should also have an interest in student agency, assessment for learning, and school leadership. The internship is intended to be 30 hours per week during the summer and may lead to a part-time position in the fall. The intern should be prepared to start in July.
