The Alliance Manager leads the day-to-day relationship between Splunk and our Technology Alliance Partners. This includes identifying new ecosystem relationships, and structuring and negotiating new partnerships.

You will bring a deep understanding of partners and experience developing strategic partner relationships, implementing alliance programs to generate new enterprise business, and the ability to work cross functionally with product management, engineering, marketing, and sales.

* Manage partners from identification, through contract lifecycle, and go-to-market

* Act as an internal advocate for the partners

* Be the partner's point of contact for ensuring the partner has the resources to be successful

* Use internal and external resources to effectively position Splunk as a thought leader with our partners

* Develop joint account plans with Partners

* Evangelize Splunk's value-proposition and competitive differentiation at multiple organizational levels (including Executives) at our target partners

* Work closely with Sales to facilitate joint Partner opportunities and drive new business

* Develop and track metrics for measuring Partner business and success

* Facilitate resolution of Partner sales and technical issues

* Communicate with Partners consistently to ensure Partners maximize the value that Splunk provides


* 5+ years of experience with enterprise software field sales/alliances/business development

* Proven track record of success in working with partners to identify and win deals

* Success managing relationships with Partners across all functions of the organization from developer to C-suite.

* Ability to set clear targets and develop plans and objectives to achieve those targets

* Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills – both verbal and written

* Willingness to travel, primarily domestic

* You will already reside in the San Francisco Bay area

* B.S. / B.A. required, technical majors a plus, i.e. engineering, computer science
