Working as a Full-Time Solutions Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the sales and marketing of our FAST (Fastenal Automated Supply Technology) Vending Solutions program within a district sales territory. This position will report directly to the Solutions Sales Manager.


The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Presenting Fastenal Vending Solutions to current and prospective customers

o Assisting with implementation for new vending solutions customers and optimizing existing customer machines

o Assisting in training Fastenal employees to sell Vending Solutions

o Working with District and General Managers to schedule customer visits

o Making joint sales calls with Fastenal branch employees

o Consulting customers on best practices for cost savings

o Maintaining a Quarterly Review and Cost Savings log for all vending solutions customers in the district


The skills and qualifications required for this position include:

o 18 years of age or over

o A valid driver's license and the ability to meet our driving record requirements

o Possess or are working towards an Associate's Degree in Business/Marketing OR have equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market

o Excellent written and oral communication skills

o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite

o Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented

o Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

o Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

o Ability to lift, slide and lower packages that typically weigh between 25 lbs. - 50 lbs. that may weigh up to 75 lbs.

o Ability to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)


o Prior vending sales experience.
