Position Description: This position provides technical support to the Surface Type Commander Staffs (COMNAVSURFLANT and COMNAVSURFPAC) in support of the Surface Maintenance Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP). There are positions in Norfolk and San Diego.

The individual will be a part of a government/contract team that provides surface ship availability planning. The Senior Maintenance Analyst manages the Availability Work Package (AWP) for multiple ships, assisting with the development, scheduling, planning and tracking of surface ship depot level maintenance and modernization work.

The individual must be capable of working independently on complex projects, and must have good communication skills.

This position is "contingent" upon award of work to Imagine One.

Typical work requirements include:

* Interact with government activities (TYCOM, SURFMEPP, NAVSEA21, RMC, and others) to identify and schedule ship-specific maintenance work (preventive and corrective) and ensure its correct documentation in the AWP.

* Conduct or assist with availability planning conferences as specified in the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM).

* Document/track deferral of scheduled maintenance tasks.

* Prepare or assist with Risk Assessments and identify mitigation plans

* Monitor the progress of planning, execution and closeout of availability work. Assist with data capture and reporting.

* Work with RMAIS to ensure jobs are screened to the proper availability.

* Be responsible for the quality of the AWP of assigned ships.

* Handle data calls and requirements for data analysis.

Experience Requirements:

* At least 15 years of Navy ship maintenance management experience that must include at least three years in a position involving the development, integration, or execution of a ship Availability Work Package. Experience typically requires work in a Type Commander (TYCOM), Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), or a maintenance planning organization.

* Knowledge of shore-based maintenance applications such RMAIS, NMD, OARS, NDE, and M&SWP.

* Working knowledge of the Navy 3-M system (Navy NEC 9517 is a plus).

* Understanding of Navy maintenance concepts such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and the Class Maintenance Plan (CMP).

* Versed in MS Office, with particular expertise in MS Excel.

Educational Requirements:

* HS diploma or a GED.

Security Requirements: U.S. citizenship is required. Candidate must have an ACVTIVE SECRET clearance
