As Registered Dietitian, you will provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition care to all patients utilizing technical skills in an acute care, skilled nursing, and or outpatient setting. Skills include clinical assessment, screening for nutritional risk, developing, implementing, and monitoring a nutrition care plan, education, and follow up. Provide service to cancer patients of all ages. You will need to follow compliance to JCAHO Standards, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Demonstrate the ability to provide appropriate age specific patient care as established for environment and job title.
This is a part-time position that has been grant-funded for three years. It will help support all Scripps Health locations, must be okay with travelling to different sites as needed. Varied shifts and some weekend availability is required for specialty events.
- Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition
- Experience creating patient education material, tools, recipes and/or cooking classes for a group of patients
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition
- Registered Dietitian through the Commission of Dietetic Registration or signed verification statement confirming completion of supervised practice program
