Regional Account Executive

JOB SUMMARY:

The Regional Account Executive (RAE) is responsible for actively engaging prospects in the company's defined sales process. The RAE is expected to have excellent selling, closing and qualification skills. The RAE will maintain a geographic territory as defined by the company management and will maintain a sales relationship with all prospects and customers. Lead generation is required and will be conducted within the appropriate territory. This includes but is not limited to: cold calling, marketing campaigns, attending trade shows, and following up on trade shows, and industry association leads. Regional Account Executive must be able to accurately forecast using the defined 10-step staging of opportunities within the chosen CRM system

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Actively sell to all MasterControl prospects

* Lead Generation including: Cold Calling, MC Campaigns

* Trade Show Leads, MC Associate Leads, Industry Association Leads, and others

* Follow up on Pre-qualified Leads provided by MC Internal Operations

* Participate in Trade Shows as requested by VP of Marketing

* Ability to provide all product demonstrations (DCS Product Certification required)

* Strong understanding of the manufacturing and health sciences industry specific requirements such as ISO and FDA.

* Follow company policy for expense reporting and gaining the approval of management for

departmental purchase requisitions. Expense reporting with Management approval

is required for purchases made for the company without the use of company

resources

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,ABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

* AA/AS required, BA/BS Preferred

* Strong leadership and presentation skills

* Proven track record of successful multi level,complex software sales

* Accurate forecasting

* Extensive prospecting experience

* Customer Service experience and training

* Preference will be given to individuals with experience selling software to the health sciences industry

* 5-10 years enterprise software sales experience preferred

* Strong understanding of manufacturing regulations preferred

* Strong understanding of MS Office applications

* Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, over the telephone and in e-mail

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

* Bending, stooping and lifting are integral aspects of this position

* Ability to work non-standard hours

* Ability to quickly learn technical skills

* Extensive travel required (40%)

* Must live within defined territory
