Incumbent serves as the Business Development & Financial Analyst in Logistics Services, a unit of Integrated Procure-to-Pay Solutions (IPPS) housed within Business and Financial Services (BFS). Using a data driven approach, this position is responsible for financial and operational assessment of business development opportunities, including but not limited to the creation and execution of plans and market trend analysis. Incumbent also serves as a member of the Logistics Leadership Team.

This position is also responsible for financial oversight and human resources support for all Logistics Services units. Manages and oversees an annual operating budget of $4.1M and independently analyzes financial and budgetary information from a variety of sources, develops reports and budgets, and makes recommendations to ensure financial solvency and growth. Also serves as divisional HR contact and serves as a liaison for a wide variety of personnel actions for staff (career, limited, temporary) and student employees under the purview and guidance of BFS-HR.

* Undergraduate Degree in business administration, economics, statistics, or an allied field, and two (2) years of experience as a business or financial analyst; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Proven ability to analyze expenditures, recognize trends and support budgetary adjustments.

* Demonstrated ability to research, collect, interpret and analyze financial and budget data.

* Demonstrated experience with complex spreadsheets, tables, graphs, and PowerPoint slides.

* Experience composing and documenting complex technical processes as well as user issues and their resolution.

* Demonstrated skill in presenting data and providing the analytical interpretation necessary

* Demonstrated strong policy analysis techniques.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner.


* Functional knowledge of the UCSD Financial Applications and the IPPS technology portfolio.
