Position Summary

The Global Programming team owns the development of enterprise-level 360° marketing priorities based on a deep understanding of both business and customer mindset. The Senior Manager, Global Programming will serve as single connection point to for all Walmart.com marketing activities by leading the coordination, development and publishing of the global Walmart.com marketing calendar to Walmart senior leadership. He or she will coordinate the activities of both global spaces such as home page and cross-category email, as well as ensuring through lines with major category and seasonal moments, such as partner launches, value activations and new/exclusive product moments.

As a key element of this work, this leader will directly influence dialogue and creative problem solving amongst senior business leaders. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter who can effectively drive process improvement, execution and optimization.

Challenges you'll be tackling

* You'll own the long-range marketing planning process, including gaining senior leadership alignment on proposed messaging and media mix across critical timeframes

* You'll develop and publish the Walmart.com enterprise level marketing calendar to all levels of the eCommerce marketing, store marketing and retail organizations

* You'll lead a cross functional team of editorial, creative, retail and site partners to effectively plan for and communicate a pipeline of breakthrough in-bound and out-bound experiences for our customers

* You'll influence discussion with senior leadership on marketing priorities and end-to-end cross-channel coordination to drive improved business performance

* You'll bring an innate ability to inspire and align different cross functional team members on new ways of working that will improve global efficiency and overall marketing department productivity

* You'll advocate for our customer, collaborating with brand, eCommerce and paid advertising teams to develop cohesive, compelling customer facing messages

Responsibilities

* Oversee quarterly programming process and provide visibility to cross-category and cross-channel programming including wireframes, end creative and campaign-level media plans

* Lead development and communication of a calendar of uniquely Walmart moments

* Champion weekly 'Walk the Store' review process and executive update on upcoming marketing activities

* Ensure timely and high quality completion of organizational marketing calendars and planning documents in partnership with marketing operations staff

* Help ensure global mindset and tone are in sync with (and complementary to) brand and enterprise level priorities

* Partner with Vendor-Sponsored Marketing team to integrate workflow with brand and eCommerce marketing activities

Minimum Qualifications

* 4+ years' experience in project or program management

* Experience owning a complex end-to-end marketing process, including relationship management with creative and business stakeholders

* Go-getter, capable of managing multiple complex projects & priorities

* Strong organizational and executive communication skills, with a high attention to detail

* Proven ability to influence and mobilize cross-functional teams to achieve a desired end result

* 1-3 years managing others

* 5-7 years in eCommerce and/or brand marketing

* Creative and collaborative team player who can work with multiple cross-functional stakeholder groups
