Job Summary

Families in our community deserve a middle school that will put their children on the path to college. San Antonio Prep will be such a school, but many such families do not yet know that it exists. The Marketing and Outreach Intern will work directly with the Principal and operations team to support recruitment of our founding fifth and sixth grade classes, including events and canvassing, as well as administrative and creative tasks to reach families in our community.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop visually engaging posts on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook

  • Generate and execute ideas for social media campaigns, outreach, and advertising

  • Coordinate translation process into Spanish

  • Grow the school’s social media following, with a focus on local families and staff candidates


  • Execute a recruitment strategy to talk to families and collect applications for our founding fifth and sixth grade class

  • Coordinate the logistics of multiple recruitment information sessions and outreach days

  • Maintain a database of prospective families

  • Step in to assist with ad hoc tasks and projects wherever necessary

  • Canvassing, tabling, door to door, events, etc.

Key Competencies & Qualifications

  • Passion for educational equity and interest in what it takes to found and operate a public charter school in Judson

  • Bachelor’s degree in progress

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills

  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and take on any tasks necessary

  • Spanish language proficiency (spoken & written) preferred

  • Proficiency in technological tools, including Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Drive (or equivalents)

  • Be able to drive to events
