Job Title: FOH Manger

Reports to: General Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job purpose:

The Front-of-the-house (FOH) Manager is responsible for the customer experience. Customer experience is defined by quality of service, presentation of food and appearance of the facility. Through education and evaluation of FOH employees these goals will be attained.

Job Scope:

* Manage a restaurant within the policies and guidelines of the company to ensure customer satisfaction and profit maximization

* Implement and manage company policy

* Operational and financial responsibility of FOH restaurant requirements

Job Qualifications:

* High School, College or University Degree Preferred

* 1 year supervisory experience in a food service environment

* Basic business math and accounting skills

* Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

* Good oral/written communication skills

* Strong analytical/decision-making skills

* Strong organizational skills

* Basic computer skills

* TABC certification

Essential Functions: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and physical demand. * Ability to lead, train, and manage employees throughout each shift, occasionally assisting employees by providing hands on work, serving trays of food, refilling drinks, seating tables, setting-up banquets, and bartending

* Ability to work quickly and efficiently remaining on the floor throughout meal periods and occasionally cover for employees as they take their breaks

* Ability to delegate tasks to employees and hold them accountable for completing these tasks

* Ability to assist with banquets and catering events by bussing tables, serving food and or drinks, and handling any complaints

* Ability to resolve all or any customer complaints by assuring the customer the matter will be resolve, personally resolving the matter, and following up with the customer to inform them what you did to resolve their problem

* Ability to see the overview of the dining room and resolve problems to maintain the eb and flow of customer service

* Ability to exceed a forty hour work week every week and attend all required management meetings and training seminars

Physical Demands:

* Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs

* Occasionally lifts / carries up to 50 lbs

* Ability to work in hot and cold environments

* Will walk and stand for long periods of time without a break

* Ability to speak and hear

* Vision requirements include peripheral vision

* Able to reach arms & hands above head to grab merchandise

* Able to kneel and stoop repeatedly

* Use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills with both hands

Core Responsibilities:

* Identify and manage labor cost through scheduling, inventory and cutting staff, when needed

* Manages FOH employees to maintain high employment quality standards consistent with the Pericos brand including, but not limited to, hiring, training, counseling, promotion and discipline as appropriate (cannot terminate an employee with approval of General Manager)

* Enforce maintenance, safety and sanitary practices for FOH. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances; all health inspections meet required state standards

* Maintain operational basics and standards with total commitment and passion through providing direction and guidance to employees

* Responds to guest comments and seeking opportunity to build guest count while educating and empowering other employees to act in similar capacity

* Sets excellent customer service and work examples

* Demonstrate knowledge of entire menu and preparation

* Event coordinating, payroll processing, and maintaining current and accurate collateral in FOH areas

* Schedule and conduct quarterly FOH employee meetings

* Engage in community and marketing related opportunities at the restaurant

* Submit FOH employee evaluations to HR Annually
