This position is responsible for using specialized equipment in order to complete vascular histories and physicals of patients to aide in the diagnosis of vascular disease and to determine therapy options. The incumbent may be expected to perform the duties of this position within the mobile department.

This positions is responsible for providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules appointments for patients.
  • Collects medical information and patient histories.
  • Conducts vascular histories and physical exams of patients.
  • Performs various tests using specialized equipment, ensuring apropriate use of the equipment.
  • Analyzes patient histories and interprets test results using national statistics.
  • Conducts follow-up studies.
  • Orders and maintains supplies.

  • Demonstrated potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
  • Ability to provide care to the population served.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development.
  • Ability to assess data regarding the patient's status.
  • Ability to provide care as described in the department's policies and procedures manual.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Licenses Required

  • One of the following
  • American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
  • Registered Vascular Technologist.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card through American Heart Association or obtain within one month of hire.
  • Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.
