Head of Product- Learning
Lambda School
 Salt Lake City, UT
Lambda School is a combination of a school and an investment fund. Lambda School's mission is to find untapped or underutilized talent, and to train that talent for the most in-demand jobs in the world. Lambda School is pioneering a new model of higher education in which the school invests in the students, instead of the other way around.

Lambda has just successfully completed its Series B fundraising round with premier tier venture investors. We are operating in 40+ states across the US today and eyeing international expansion opportunities.

This is an exciting, fast growth opportunity to help tell personal stories of life transformation, grit and hope alongside helping to shape critical public conversations in the US, Europe, Canada, Africa and Asia.

Lambda School’s approach to product management is rooted in a deep understanding of our customers: our students, admissions, student success, instruction, and career services. You’ll learn about our customers’ operations, identify the most meaningful problems that we could solve for them, and develop a product vision that maximizes the value we can deliver to our students. Senior product managers work across all functions to formulate and execute product strategy, product definition, implementation priorities, and launch plans.

This position reports directly to the VP of Growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive product strategy and execution in collaboration with design, engineering and marketing
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative insights to understand customer needs and prioritize feature development
  • Define product requirements and drive execution from concept to launch
  • Clearly communicate product vision and strategy, get all members of cross-functional team aligned and motivated

What You'll Need:

  • 8+ years of experience in a product management or similar role
  • Experience building web products with a demonstrated ability to drive product planning, development and launch
  • Track record of effectively prioritizing, communicating and coordinating efforts across teams
  • Experience using analytics and data to inform product decisions and measure post-launch impact
  • Experience defining and running an efficient product development process, including backlog management and prioritization, roadmap communication, sprint planning, and triage

Bonus If You:

  • Have a passion for education
  • Have previous experience at a growth stage internet/software company
  • Have a non-traditional story. Many of our students have beaten a unique path to their new jobs. We like team members who have done the same.
At Lambda School, we're looking to hire people with grit and integrity. Please apply even if your experience and interests aren't an exact match with what we've laid out in this job description. We're building something different at Lambda. If that sounds interesting, we want to hear from you.
