Coordinator Accounts Payable

Position Summary:

The Coordinator supports the Manager and Supervisor of Accounts Payable and other Crewleaders with the daily accounts payable functions. The Coordinator helps facilitate the timely and accurate payments to business partners of JetBlue.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Maintain folders in document imaging system, resolve invoice issues sent to payables, monitor timeliness of approvals, and serve as back up to document imaging system access setup

* Process new business partner set up

* Update and provide assistance to the business on using new business partner set up, maintenance and requirements

* Create reports for audit, maintain new business partner records

* Train new Crewmembers and temporary staff when asked by Manager

* Maintain confidential banking and business partner information

* Handle audit and treasury questions and researches inquiries; reviews month end process invoices after accounts payable closes; special projects as assigned

* May be asked to travel for training with business partner or meetings with JetBlue

* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma

* One (1) year administrative experience

* Excellent verbal (telephone) and written communication skills

* Highly organized

* Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English

* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet Explorer

* Able to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test when applicable

* Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

* One (1) year Accounts Payable experience or equivalent finance experience

* SAP Experience

* Associate's Degree in Business or Accounting

* Ability to learn new systems and maintain controls

* Strong customer service skills

* Detail oriented, organizational skills

* Regular attendance and punctuality

* Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

* Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

* Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards

* Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR)
