Ensure a high level of service to aramark customers by managing all aspects of assigned departments, while meeting or exceeding the budgeted costs and performance metrics. Responsible for maximizing profitability and minimizing expenses by managing safety, productivity, accuracy, turnover and training within assigned departments.
- Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Assist GM with Formulating an annual budget and financial plan and manage the operations within these guidelines; Maintain positive internal and external relationships that foster teamwork, employee interaction, and opportunities for feedback; Development and implementation of new policies and organizational processes, with emphasis on production capacity, inventory management, systems, and equipment; Review and follow-up on results of production, efficiency, costs, inventory stocking status and product replenishment; Conduct daily briefings, goals and strategy sessions with Managers and supervisors in each Distribution Center department; Assist with communications and coordination of efforts between market centers, direct sales customers, Central Office, National Accounts and outside vendors; Manage human resources issues with productive labor and department staffing and training; Responsible for the development of professional activities that influence the performance of team members. Activities include: interviewing, hiring, training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and resolving issues; Ability to prioritize competing objectives in order to meet all established deadlines to include managing effectively through unplanned events; Responsible for planning and management to include workload balancing in order to meet throughput objectives for all departments; Exude leadership and guidance to the workforce that maximizes loyalty, supports continuous improvement in work results and minimizes both injuries and turnover; Responsible for individual or team performance tracking for assigned departments to include new hire expectations, work quality, and performance standards once training is complete; Develop and mentor reporting staff, identify high potential employees, and prepare them for professional growth; Perform capacity needs planning to meet current and forecasted workload and meet hiring, training or cross-training requirements of staff; Communicate, on a regular basis, with reporting staff, peers, and executive levels of management; Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.
Able to work independently as well as a member of a team; Effective written and verbal communication skills; Strong employee relations experience; Warehouse Management Systems background; Basic computer experience in a business environment; Excellent planning, administration and attention to detail; Able to work a flexible schedule
- Working Environment/Safety Requirements:
3 – 5 years of manufacturing, distribution or related experience; Previous management experience.
- Travel Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience.
