High School Diploma or GED equivalent.2. Excellent working knowledge of sound, video and lighting equipment used to conduct live events such as worship services, meetings, presentations and small and mid-sized gatherings and music productions.3. Good working knowledge of related computer hardware and software.4. Alert and professional.5. Must adhere to The Salvation Army standards and policies.6. Organized and tidy to ensure all equipment is kept orderly and readily accessible.7. Ability to relate well with the public and foresee potential problems and correct them before they escalate.8. Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.9. Knowledge of Salvation Army practices and organization desirable.10. Able to work with people of diverse backgrounds.11. Ability to maintain confidentiality, have flexibility, good people skills and cooperative.12. In good health and physically and mentally able to carry out assigned duties.13. Able to pass a background check, stay current in Protecting the Mission training, and be able to follow Child Safety protocol.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Set-up and support of all media equipment such as projectors, speakers, televisions, video monitors and cameras for Kroc Corps worship services, programs, events and meetings. Work with corps officers to produce all audio and visual aspects of worship services to include preparing presentation slides for lyrics, Scripture, video and lighting. Ensure that all equipment is well-maintained and stored after use. Provide outstanding customer service and develop working relationships. Use strong communication as a tool to keep project progress moving forward and put event coordinators at ease. Execute a flawless event from a media standpoint. Problem-solve and handle equipment malfunctions well, even under pressure. Focus on making sure their systems are working properly. When something goes wrong, troubleshoot without showing concern to participants and/or customers. Work a non-standard work week generally to accommodate Corps worship services, programs, meetings and events requiring audio visual support. This schedule will be set in collaboration with your supervisor based on the varying events of the week. Support other Kroc Departments, as assigned, which may include staff training, Kroc promotion and outreach events. Other duties as assigned by the Corps Officers.Physical Requirements:May require long periods of sitting at a desk using a personal computer and telephone, Able to walk, sit, stand, bend, stoop, squat, twist body, kneel, push, pull, on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Must occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.This position will require extended periods of standing and walking throughout the interior and exterior of the Kroc Center. Work will be performed on a different surfaces varying in evenness and hardness.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, hand, or feel objects, tools, or controls; to talk or hear; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.Working Conditions: Must be able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing work environment. Must possess or be willing to learn excellent customer service skills.
