A business unit within the Combat Systems Group of General Dynamics, we are a world leader in the manufacture of large-, medium-, and small-caliber direct- and indirect-fire munitions, mortar weapons and systems, artillery projectiles, bomb bodies, Ball Powder® Propellant, solid propellants, non-lethal products and Force Protection products. The company also manufactures precision metal components; provides explosive load, assemble and pack services for a variety of munitions, tactical missile and rocket programs; and designs and produces shaped charge warheads and control actuator systems.

We are seeking a Supervisor Finance to work in our St. Petersburg, FL division. Successful candidates will perform the following duties involved:

Primary Responsibilities:

* Consolidation and financial reporting for multiple ledgers within a major SBU

* Ability to communicate complex financial matters, both written and verbal, to senior and executive management

* Leads the Strategic Planning process for the SBU, including developing review schedules, coordinating inputs from various sites, consolidation of information, and presentation to senior management.

* Makes recommendations to management regarding cost savings or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.

* Completes systematic reviews, analyses, interpretation and/or evaluation of budgets, cost, pricing, etc.

* Leads various studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts.

* Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements, and operating forecasts.

* Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance.

* Evaluates complex profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.

* Develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and accounting concepts or techniques for financial planning and control.

* Performs variance analyses for comparison to plans or prior estimates.

* Researches interpretation of financial policies, corporate policies, governmental regulations, accounting theory, or customer financial regulations.

* Acts with integrity, works collaboratively, and strives for continuous improvement.

* Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

* BA/BS in Finance, Acct, Business, or Economics from a 4 year college or university; 3-5 years of finance work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Microsoft Excel and Office knowledge. Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of Program Management. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong knowledge of program finance, accounting and/or pricing of government contracts.

* Exposure to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Look for ways to improve and promote quality.

* Manage competing demands while meeting commitments. Strong communication and presentation skills are required
