Job Summary

Jabil Defense and Aerospace is a contract manufacturing business providing high-end technical electronics, precision machining and system integration solutions in the aerospace, defense, space, and security industries.

The Contracts Administrator is responsible for administering the customer contract lifecycle to assure adherence to contract requirements and Jabil policies and procedures. A key skill set for the Contracts Administrator is the ability to to prioritize tasks required to effectively manage multiple contracts simultaneously. The Contracts Administrator will work with Program Management, Bid & Proposal, Finance, and other groups to ensure effective contract lifecycle management. Jabil has an opening for a Contracts Administrator at its St. Petersburg, FL location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Responsible for reviewing and administrating contracts and purchase orders throughout the contract lifecycle, including validating purchase orders against quotes, managing customer demand entry, monitoring order fulfillment, and contract closeout.

* Organize and administer the contract management system and all associated files to maximize efficiency, cost savings, and to reduce liability.

* Liaison between internal and external customers; respond to customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner

* Maintain knowledge and working understanding of US government acquisition and procurement environment, commercial contracting methods, and all applicable laws and regulations, including FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and CAS.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor's degree preferred (Business or Contract Administration preferred).

* 3-5 years of progressive experience in government and aerospace contracts, contracts administration and/or sales/program management support, operations or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

* Passion for data collection and accuracy, strong attention to detail and proofreading.

* Excellent reading comprehension, writing, presentation, and communication skills.

* Microsoft applications experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Outlook) is required, SharePoint experience is preferred. Proficient in SAP ERP, or equivalents, preferred.

* Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; US Citizenship required.

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of U.S. regulations.
