Software Engineer II

About the role:

* Develops software systems, firmware, and/or provides software systems testing and validation in support of R&D Engineering.

* Responsible for the analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification of firmware applications and testing solutions. Work often involves analog and digital hardware and software operating systems.

* Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for software products.

Your responsibilities include:

* Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, test software programs by using C/C++, C# and other current programming languages and technologies.

* Test software utilizing integration and black box testing methodologies.

* Documents software development and/or test development by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards

* Analyzes, evaluates, verifies requirements, software and systems by using software engineering practices.

* Investigates, researches, selects software designs, operating systems and/or practices.

* Ability to effectively work in technical cross-functional teams to develop new products.

* Continuously improves process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers/cross-functional groups and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes.

What we're looking for:

Minimum Qualifications

* 2 - 4 Years with BS

* 0 - 2 Years with MS

* Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field of study

* Analyzing software requirements and design, testing, and change requests

* Software integration, and black box testing methodologies

* Experience with multi-tasking real-time operating system

* C/C++, C#, Python programming languages

Preferred Qualifications

* Eclipse, Python programming languages

* Experience in a Regulated environment

* Successfully working in technical cross functional team to develop new products

* Effective technical written and verbal communication

* Agile process experience
