Overview

Master Data Management Specialist will be responsible for the creation and updates to new and existing items ensuring the accuracy and high quality of the material master data for the dental business unit. In this role you will maintain data quality, compliance and consistency, follow operating procedures, support business unit requests, and research/resolve issues. The specialist will require communication with branch, corporate personal and the vendor community. Success will depend on having a "customer first" attitude, superior accuracy, a willingness to learn new functions and positively contribute to team performance.

Responsibilities

* Process material master data requests and overall data management in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring policies, procedures and service level agreements (SLAs) are followed.

* Execute changes to SAP master data (e.g. customer, vendor, materials etc.) as approved by the business ensuring data requests are complete and comply with standards.

* Contribute to creating and enforcing work flows to meet best business practices.

* Assist in duplicate identification and data cleansing of master data loads as part of integration activities.

* Assist in the development of forms, procedures and work instructions. Identify data quality or process improvement opportunities.

* Participate in master data related projects as needed.

* Establish rapport with branches and other Patterson teams, build effective relationships, and share wins and successes

* Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

* Basic knowledge in Excel

* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

* Has exceptional problem solving, and multi-tasking skills and shows a great attention to detail

* Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills

* Positively contribute to the PTP and Shared Services team environment

* Strong customer orientation

* Demonstrates a commitment to Patterson's values and professionalism through appropriate conduct at all times

Preferred:

* Bachelor's degree in a business-related field

* 2+ years' experience in a data related field

* SAP/ERP and Material Master experience highly preferred

* Analytical experience with high aptitude for research, analysis and problem solving skills

* Ability to apply policies and standards consistently and reinforce data governance

* Comfort in reinforcing policy and best practices; ability to push back appropriately when needed
