As an IT Quality Assurance Supervisor for Minnesota IT Services (MNIT), you will be responsible for the supervision of an IT quality assurance (QA) unit in the performance of successful and efficient quality assurance services of MNIT. This position provides direction to staff working on current DHS/MNsure systems and the development of new systems in Integrated Human Services Delivery Framework. Systems include: MMIS, SSIS, MAXIS, PRISM, Avatar, SMI, MEC2, MCSO, MNITS, MNsure and the new healthcare and eligibility system as well as several other systems that support the work of the Department of Human Services (DHS) and MNsure.
The position is temporary and includes full state fringe benefits; the position is anticipated to last up to two (2) years and may be extended.
Candidates must clearly demonstrate these qualifications in their resume:
Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience performing IT quality assurance functions.
Experience managing all quality assurance activities (e.g., creating test plans/cases/final test documents, leading formal test plan walk through with project team, executing all phases of testing [SIT, Regression, Functional, Boundary], etc.) across multiple teams and multiple projects.
Experience working in or guiding an IT unit.

Lead worker or supervisory experience.
Experience defining problems as they arise and recommending, implementing, or discussing alternative solutions.
Experience leading project efforts, adhering to timelines, features, and budgets.
Familiarity with principles of systems analysis and design, project management, and business analysis.
Thorough knowledge of different software development lifecycles (waterfall, iterative), contemporary software, and quality assurance processes and tools.
Understanding of or experience with MNIT, DHS/MNsure, DHS/MNsure systems, and county business needs/programs.
Ability to communicate specifications to technical and non-technical project members.
