Job Summary

Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position, with the working title of Digital Forensic Examiner, provides computer forensic examination capability to the Internet Crimes Against Children unit. To assist federal, state and local investigations in identifying, seizing and safeguarding electronic evidence. To perform a full range of complex analyses of various types of electronic and digital evidence. Assist federal, state, and local investigation in identifying seizing, and safeguarding electronic devices.


Minimum Qualifications:

1. Two (2) year or four (4) year degree in Computer/Digital forensics (from an accredited college/university) to be completed upon date of hire


Four (4) year degree in Computer Science or related area and have completed and/or received verifiable n training with computer forensic tools such as Encase,

Accessdata FTK, and etc.

2. Excellent oral communication and writing skill in order to prepare reports of examination results and conclusions and provide testimony

3. Must have a valid driver's License

(If invited to an interview, candidates will be asked to provide unofficial transcripts of related digital forensic coursework)

Preferred Qualifications:

1. One year IT related work experience

2. Certified Computer Forensic Technician or Certificate Forensic Examiner

3. In-depth experience with Windows operation system, Mac, and Linux

4. Basic understanding with computer networking concept and terminology including TCP/IP networking

5. A+ Certification or related microsoft certification

6. Experience with computer forensic software such as Encase, Accessdata's Forensic Tool Kit, CelleBrite

Physical Requirements

Requires occasionally moving and transporting 50 pound items and frequently moving and transporting objects such as heavy tools and heavy file boxes. This job may require positioning self to move to a significant degree across rough terrain or may involve maintaining a stationary position for extended periods.
