Develops and maintains partnerships with customers by understanding their needs, products, goals, and strategies, while creating customized solutions for servicing those needs.

Participates in sales planning and setting goals/objectives.

Ensures proper completion of accurate records, files and database maintenance, including updated sales and customer notes in customer relationship management software.

Maintains a thorough knowledge of the overall Company including services, policies, tariffs, rates, etc.

Understands and stays current with industry and market news, information, and trends.

Collaborates with internal support team members to ensure timely, proper servicing of customers.

Performs timely inspections in overage, damage, and shortage situations.

Promotes and represents Tax-Air through direct customer visits, mail, email, Company events, etc.

Required Skills

Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, analysis, attention to detail, follow-through, organizational and time management skills.

High energy and self-motivation with the ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as in a group setting.

Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, competitive and changing environment while juggling multiple priorities.

Proficient in various software, including but not limited to: Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Ability to travel regularly within designated territory.

Required Experience

3 years proven sales experience preferred.

Transportation industry experience preferred.

Experience working with Freight Forwarders and/or Manufacturers a plus.
