As an IT Specialist (CUSTSPT), you will:

* Provide Access Security Management and Customer Support to CEC staff, end user community of the CEC Customers, and the public customers.

* Participate in the development of customer support policies, procedures, and standards.

* Provide and maintain a comprehensive operational support and technical assistance service desk relating to access management including desktop environment, email, and other services.

* Coordinate and support the resolution of technical and operational problems, incidents, and questions received from the field. Coordinate with users and other staffs on access management and operations support issues as well as incidents and other service desk issues. Coordinate the response and escalates to the appropriate subject matter expert (SME).

* Ensure that Active Directory accounts are added, modified, or deleted and moved within the timeframe described in the Service Level Agreements (SLA) with the user community and the public customers of CEC.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience at the GS-11 level: For the GS-11, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully. Specialized experience for this position is described as experience working with Operations Management, using Microsoft Active Directory and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) based tools.


You may qualify with a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three (3) full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. (In order to be creditable, education must be related to the position being filled with a major study of computer science, information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field.) Attach a copy of transcript or list of college courses designating semester or quarter hours earned to ensure proper credit.

To be qualifying, degree must be in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

In addition to meeting specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

* Oral Communication- Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.

* Problem Solving- Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
