Logistics Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY: The Logistics Coordinator provides operations support and customer service to the client base working directly with customers to identify and select "best in class" transportation options. This position will utilize various web-based and proprietary applications to coordinate inbound and outbound shipment activities to ensure 100% customer satisfaction using all modes of transportation.


* Provide exceptional customer service by developing and maintaining good working relationships. Resolve customer's unique issues quickly to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

* Effectively communicate with internal and external customers and carriers ensuring all customer expectations are met. Manage all communication mediums with customers using email, phone, EDI and web transactions.

* Proactively handle customer shipment routing request by coordinating and/or dispatching shipment activities and provide specific report requests by the customer.

* Assist and support, as needed, other Logistics Teams by interacting with other departments in cross-functional projects.

* Bachelor's degree is preferred, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business, or any combination and experience, which would provide equivalent background.

* Must be able to interact well with others in a team environment while meeting time-sensitive requirements.

* Must be able to manage competing priorities, multi-task and continue to meet all deadlines, while remaining flexible with continually changing priorities while providing high quality customer service.

* Organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet team and company goals using creativity and good business judgment.

* Proficient with web-based applications and Microsoft products with emphasis on Excel.
