JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for preparing financial reports to support the company's monthly Management Accounts report. This role will create an accurate, efficient and standardized consolidated report detailing the company's key monthly reporting financial metrics.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

Prepares and publishes financial reports outlining key variances in the P&L line items of business segments

Automates consolidated financial reports within the appropriate consolidation system

Tracks and updates financial reports for chart of account or hierarchy changes to ensure accurate financial reporting

Performs other reporting or financial closing responsibilities as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Organizational, analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to analyze and interpret financial information

Ability to operate independently and professionally

Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. spreadsheets, word processing)

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field

CPA Preferred

Related Work Experience Number of Years

Finance reporting and analysis and/or accounting work experience 2+

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Hyperion Essbase software or similar consolidation software experience

Knowledge of accounting theory and practices

Knowledge of cable television products and services
