Account Technology Strategist

The role of the Account Technology Strategist is to align Hybrid IT and Business Productivity solutions to Softchoice's largest customer base's financial, business, and technical objectives, and align our methodology throughout the customer's stages of adoption.

The Account Technology Strategist will understand and document the mapping of business needs to high-level systems architectures (on and off-premises) with a focus on strategically designing systems to meet current and anticipated business needs.

As our Account Technology Strategist, you will:

* Document current and future-state business needs as high-level functional, process, or personnel requirements.

* Map functional and process requirements to technology components, procedures, and personnel with a focus on enterprise data (architecture, master data, data quality, integration) and enterprise information management systems.

* Design transition plans/roadmaps to migrate/evolve enterprise technology from current state to future state

* Review technical designs to assess and evaluate alignment with strategic direction.

* Help build the Technical architecture strategy (Architecture Reviews), by understanding the Workload requirements and leverage our Workload Analyzer and Datacenter Assessment (TechCheck) to help baseline and build that strategy

* Be the Subject Matter Expert in Hybrid IT and Business Productivity architectures, to help design the best environment for the customer's business and technical objectives

* Provide thought-leadership and architectural guidance

* Discuss and revise documents and models according to business changes and feedback

* Works with Sales Group to create high-level solution designs and proposals.

* Provide recommendations and directional guidance on initiatives

* Actively participate in technical communities and best practice development

* Liaise between technical and business staff to ensure communication and alignment

As our ideal candidate you will have:

* 7-10 years of experience in developing enterprise architecture

* University degree in a related Computer Sciences major

* Relevant industry certifications (ITIL, MCSE, TOGAF)

* Technical experience with relevant Microsoft and Cisco technologies

* Ability to manage and lead business requirement gathering sessions and help customers pick the best technical architecture to solve their business needs

* Ability to clearly articulate in written format and proposal an Executive Summary and Solution description

* Ability to present to Executive Teams

* Ability to write and present Business Technology Reviews

* Understand the customers Technical objectives as it relates to their high end business goals

* Build long-term relationships within key accounts

* Willingness to continuously develop technical depth and certification

* Ability to research trends and recommend new strategies to address client concerns

* Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
