Position Description

Job Purpose:

To serve meals to hotel guests according to established rules of etiquette and to possess knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:

* Replenish supplies of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes at the room service station.

* Answer room service phone within three (3) rings, answer questions, and take orders from guests according to established brand standards

* Ability to accurately input orders into the POS system for preparation by the kitchen and/or the bar.

* Ability to focus attention to details, speed, and accuracy on all room service trays.

* Collect trays hourly delivered to keep hallways clear and assist the guest through the removal of food.

* Completes side work as deemed necessary by management to ensure the smooth operations of the department.

* Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications.

* Maintain the work area, including all counter tops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with state, county, and company health regulations and work safety regulations.

* Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.

* Ensure uniform and appearance is clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

* Displays good customer relation skills and takes initiative to greet guests in a friendly manner.

* Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills:

* Carry out specific oral or written instructions, frequently following a simple routine.

* Ability to talk to others to convey information effectively.

* Ability to perform repetitive actions consistently.

Job Qualifications:


* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
