Summary: This position manages team members responsible for evaluating and responding to inquiries from customers of The Greenbrier Companies. Will coordinate with Subject Matter Experts, Customer Account Representatives, Sales, and Internal Business Units to ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the team to maximize efficiency and improve results
  • Build long-term relationships with internal customers through open and interactive communication
  • Gain knowledge and insight into the business needs
  • Drive improvement or development of systems and processes to better and more efficiently meet customer needs
  • Work with Production, Sales, and Purchasing to answer inquiries quickly and accurately

Skill and Experience Requirements:

  • Ability to interact successfully with both internal and external customers at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are required
  • Strong project leadership skills and the proven ability to prioritize work
  • Must have purchasing/buying experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office setting
  • Must work well as a team member and independently
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office; Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Strong computer skills with an aptitude for learning a variety of systems and applications
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience managing a team
  • Customer support experience with a focus on presentation and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while paying attention to detail and shifting priorities
  • Excellent problem solving, active listening and phone contact handling skills
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Rail industry experience is a plus

Required Education

  • four-year undergraduate degree
