Plumbing - Project Manager

Location: Sacramento, CA

This person is responsible for managing to execution plumbing work for complete plumbing systems performed in the Region of Colorado, Utah & Wyoming. Ensures that all plumbing systems are installed on time and to the required Katerra quality standards and specifications. Ensures all projects are effectively resourced. Manages relationships with respect to any project contributors. Responsible for providing review, critique, and required changes to the design model and panel design through essential feedback. Manages from plumbing underground, through finish trim and warranty period. This person must be able to multitask and maintain a positive leadership role in stressful situations. Responsible for bringing the region online. Candidate needs to be personable, open-minded, energetic. Comfortable leading from a regional role and making wide-ranging decisions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Maintain responsibility for the plumbing labor budget and schedule start up and progression on all projects in the region through coordination with site project teams.

* Assist project engineer and team to coordinate all RFI's and change order documentation for submission on the project.

* Be responsible for reviewing assembly manager hiring of all plumbing leads in the region and ultimately responsible for maintaining proper manpower based on region specific manpower loading needs and assist to resolve issues that may arise.

* Be responsible for acquiring and maintaining trade tools, equipment and project management for the region based on project loading and durations.

* Report directly to the Division Manager with input from Director of Mechanical Operations.

* Attend all necessary meetings and submit all project reports required by Division Manager and project teams.

* Ensure journeyman ratios are met on all projects in region.

Required Skills & Experience

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* 5+ years of licensed journeyman experience managing large new construction plumbing projects. Multifamily experience preferred.

* Working knowledge of the current IPC/UPC code in effect at any given time in the region as well as all state, local and city ordinances with codes in the region.

* Ability to meet with local authority having jurisdiction as needed to discuss code compliance and any other issues deemed necessary.

Preferred Skills & Experience

* Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite products

* Cross-functional capabilities in any of the specialty trades MEPF
