Loss Prevention Officer II

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
Protects assets and ensures safeness, does safety/hazard site walkthroughs, monitors the hazard materials room, disposes of damaged materials, checks security of site, does cycle counting and performs First Responder duites.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building.
2. Walks through and around the exterior of the entire facility conducting Saftey/Hazard/Security audits.
3. Continually monitors the hazard materials storeroom and cleans up spills.
4. Oversees and supervises the disposition of damaged items, loads items onto push carts, and moves to safe location.
5. Walks throughout the facility and conducts general investigations, inventory counts and cycle counts.
6. Use computers and office equipment.
7. Must read Standard Operating Procedures, hear fire/security alarms and phones, and be able to monitor CCTV.
8. Provides trainings to other employees.
9. Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean.

ERGONOMIC AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Shift hours: Varies. Typically 8, 9, or 10 hours

WORKING CONDITIONS/CONTEXT:
• Requires walking, bending or twisting, stooping, climbing, reaching, carrying, grasping.
• Requires the ability to drive, steer, and control material moving equipment.
• Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Requires standing.
• Requires face-to-face discussions with individuals or teams.
• Requires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or cold (below 50 F degrees) temperatures.
• Requires repeating the same physical activities or mental activities over and over.
• Requires being exact or highly accurate.
• Requires working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions.
• Moderate noise, conditions could include odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
 Must be at least 18 years of age.
 Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.
 Experience with CCTV preferred.
 Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement Field preferred.
 Able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
 CPR/First Aide Certified or able to obtain certification through company provided training.
