Accounts Payable Manager - Transactional Team

Overall responsibilities include management of the Corporate Account Payables department - the Monitoring and Control Division of Accounts Payable - ensuring policies and procedures are identified, documented and communicated to the organization. This position has strong dotted line oversight over the decentralized division A/P activities, collaboration with the Director of Accounts Payable at the central scanning facility, and overall responsibility of internal controls over all of Accounts Payable. This is a leadership role responsible for all Corporate A/P Activities and the development and streamlining of new processes for efficiencies as the business evolves.


* Management of 2 Supervisors and 20 AP Specialists

* Related open receiving/ three-way match including processes, and procedures of the GRIR account for the company

* Deduction management entry posting

* Invoice and vouchering stamp purchases payments

* Check processing including disbursement and voids/reissues

* Accurate and timely processing of Company-wide accounts payable and full disbursement cycle

* Annual filing of 1099's and other regulatory filings as required

* Unclaimed property filings, working with Payroll and Accounts Receivable.

* Annual third party duplicate payment audits

* EFT / EDI oversight including invoice testing, setup, reconciliation and resolution.

* Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, training materials and A/P processes to ensure adherence to Company guidelines and compliance with all SOX requirements

* The hiring, training, development and evaluation of staff to ensure maximum performance & continuous improvement

* Provides guidance and direction to personnel in an effort to maximize A/P Days while maximizing term discounts.

* Develops monitoring KPIs to drive continual department efficiencies

* Other duties & projects as assigned


* Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience.

* Hands on SAP system experience in ECC 6.0 A/P environment

* OpenText scanning experience and additional large ERP / AS400 experience a plus

* Minimum five years of experience in managerial role

* Experience in shared service delivery model

* Strong leadership & supervision skills

* Ability to work across the organization in a collaborative manner

* Ability to deep dive into processes, identify improvements, and then mentor staff to move forward
