We are currently recruiting for an EHS Support position. This position directs plans and coordinates the facility safety programs. This position supports the enhancement of EHS programs and policies, assists with ISO 14001 and 9001 by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate or outside personal. The EHS Support position will: facilitate training for all employees on environmental, health and safety issues; Implements plant safety and environmental rules, procedures and policies for the facility; Prepares and submits regulatory reports as required by federal, state and local regulations; Maintains programs, controls and training to comply with environmental permit requirements; Monitors compliance with wastewater, storm water, waste, air emissions and other applicable regulations. The EHS Support position assists Management Representative in maintaining ISO-14001 & 9001 systems including: making changes when necessary, coordinating and implementing corrective actions, supporting environmental objectives and programs, and providing training to plant personnel. And will also assist with incident investigation, near miss investigation and preparation of OSHA reports. Participates in emergency planning and response activities.

Education:Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Environmental Science, Environmental Technology or related field; or Associate's Degree (A.S.) plus one to two years safety or environmental work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Chemistry background preferred. Competencies:Analytical: Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researched data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures.Interpersonal Skills: Ability to maintain confidentiality; Keeps emotions under control; Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things. Qualifications: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and the general public. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and detailed algebra. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software.
