CGS is currently seeking a candidate to work as an Computer Security Specialist responsible for the planning, design, implementation and monitoring of security measures, policies, methods, and procedures which safeguard the integrity of and access to enterprise systems, files and data elements.

The ideal candidate will maintain a knowledge of changing technologies and provide custom recommendations for adaptation of new technologies and policies. They will also be able to recognize and identify potential areas where existing data securitypolicies and procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable working both individually and with team members for different elements of this overall project

Job Functions may include:

  • Support security operations including analysis, development, and implementation of security methodologies and safeguards
  • Design, test, install, and support wireless network security systems
  • Provide virus and worm detection and elimination support
  • Provide operational and analytical support related to security for server, network, and desktop platforms
  • Evaluate and analyze new and emerging security technologies as well as proposed products for their feasibility of use and make recommendations

Required skills, knowledge, and abilities include:

  • Minimum of 5 years in enterprise security support or related field
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to report project status to multiple levels within the organization.
  • Ability to present to, educate, and organize working teams
  • BA or BS degree


  • Strong documentation skills, including the ability to produce technical documents
  • CISSP certification from ISC^2
  • One ore more GIAC certifications
  • Masters degree or other higher education
