We are seeking a Packaging & Quality Engineer to join our Parts Supply, Logistics and Materials team. This person will be responsible for securing the packaging and quality of the material flow and availability of aftermarket spare parts within GCS (Global Customer Service) for a defined assortment of parts and suppliers in North America.

Main Tasks:


* Secure local sourced Parts& Accessories individual packing is done before launch start & during life cycle of the item

* Secure the transport emballage from supplier to Central Distribution Center


* Quality assurance for VCC products and suppliers to Global Customer Service

* Approve and stop delivery parts in all Customer Service warehouses globally

* Develop suppliers and educate suppliers in VCC processes & standards

* Responsible for actions taken for quality issues internal and external.

* Issue a special control when e.g. temporary part deviation (TPD) or when all time (ATB) buy is made.

* Secure that drawings/specification is available when necessary.


* To secure that the quality of the local sourced parts are fulfilled acc to specification s

* Process responsible for Stockcheck process – block/ stop delivery parts in all Global Customer Service warehouses globally

* Supplier fulfillment of quality and packaging requirements through the VCC PPGTC web guide "Supplementary Requirements for Service and Component Parts"

* Parameter setting and system development for Material Management system in PULS (related to SQA and Packaging Engineering)

* Process support for optimization of transport emballage, handling quantities and packaging patterns within PS&L

* Continuous improvements

* To secure that local sourced part get the individual packaging.

* To secure that the packaging of the local sourced parts are performed at the vendor, packager or at the central distribution center.

* Demand information on new spare parts so that purchasing requisitions can be released.

* Issue quality claims to suppliers when/if needed.

Required qualifications

* University degree (Sc.) within logistics, supply chain or similar experience

* Experience from participation in or leading projects

* Fluent in English written and spoken (additional languages is meritorious)

* Knowledge and experience in LEAN Manufacturing is meritorious

* Technical knowledge of the car is positive
