Merchandise Planner

JOB SUMMARY:

The Planner is responsible for developing and managing merchandise financial plans, assortment plans and sku rationalization for Party City, Halloween City and Web down to the Class, Line and Sku levels. The position partners with the Planning and Allocation Manager and Merchandise Managers to develop these plans.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Create financial plans for all seasons.

Meet or exceed sales, margin, inventory and sell through goals.

Review initial seasonal orders with the Allocator group to ensure accuracy.

Review in season product needs / liabilities with the Allocator group and make recommendations to the P&A Manager and Director of Seasonal P&A.

Make recommendations for improving existing tools and processes.

Communicate with stores, DC's, franchisees, and vendors to troubleshoot issues and respond to field concerns.

Prepare post season recap analyses.

Perform other duties as needed.
