Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Research assistant will support a range of research projects in global health, clinical research, and maternal and child health. The Research Assistant will work directly with the PI and other project team members on all aspects of data collection, processing, assisting with analysis, and writing. Projects may include fieldwork in foreign countries. Research Assistant will be responsible for transcribing and translating project documents. The Research Assistant will help conduct background research, write, edit, and create graphic materials for grant submissions, publications, and reports.

Specific Responsibilities:

* Conduct background literature searches for manuscripts and grant applications and summarize results

* Contribute to development of grant proposals, manuscripts, and scientific posters

* Translate, transcribe, code, and contribute to the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data

* Help organize student assistants and student opportunities within the research group

* Liaise with project staff around the world around schedules, progress in collaborative activities, and scientific materials

* Generate health education materials

* Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline, experience in international settings. Transcript and translation experience preferred; experience with DEDOOSE and qualitative analysis; Experience with conducting literature reviews, writing scientific communications, and organizing events preferred. Experience working in global health research group preferred.
