SUMMARY:
Associate Data Analysts love data, technology, marketing & are driven to ‘connect the dots’. They distill raw data into actionable reports & insights that inform campaign optimizations. They work closely with & support senior team members to analyze & scope information needs, data relationships & attributes, workflow, reporting, and process/technical documentation. Associate Data Analysts are strong communicators, proactive & work well within a fast-paced, deadline driven, team environment; these individuals maintain grace under pressure & conduct themselves w/professionalism, positivity & respect at all times. This individual’s work will have a high level of exposure across departments & contribute to client facing deliverables. The Associate Data Analyst is committed to continual learning within their craft; including the development & improvement of processes that ensure the ongoing accuracy & efficiency of their work. They are able to organize & manage multiple priorities & projects coupled w/the flexibility to adapt to evolving client needs.

SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Identify, collect, prepare, transform, validate and visualize data
  • Update and maintain reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Design and maintain data models / databases
  • Manages data sharing with external partners
  • Act as a subject matter expert with respect to all aspects of data and its use in measuring and improving marketing campaigns
  • Perform data quality audits
  • Develop formal processes; periodically audit with respect to efficiency and accuracy; develop process improvements
  • Proactively support and participate in agency improvement/innovation initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Requires a BS in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or Economics.
  • 1-2 years of experience collecting and summarizing data, developing reporting and performing analysis preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Must be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task and possess strong organizational, communication, computer and office procedure skills - while displaying the willingness to learn and the initiative to continually develop skill sets.
  • KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Required:
  • Extensive use of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and PowerPivots
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; outgoing and comfortable relating to people. Proven ability to simplify and present complex information
  • Strong Problem solving skills
  • Work with and advise stakeholder groups to define reporting metrics, identify data sources and develop best solutions and recommendations
  • Independent and self-directed yet also team-oriented.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing and platforms including Google Analytics, Facebook, Sales Force
  • Must be well-organized and able to multi-task. Excellent at setting and meeting deadlines with the ability to work well under tight time constraints. Strong ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple large evolving projects simultaneously within deadlines.
  • Understand and anticipate risks/dependencies across various deliverables
  • Perform quality audits, develop formal processes/documentation and champion continuous improvement efforts
  • Preferred
  • Microsoft Certification (MOS, MOS Expert, MOS Master)
  • Experience with Access, SQL and/or MySQL
  • Experience with database tools (Access, SQL, and/or MySQL)
  • Experience with BI Tools (Ie: Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc).
  • Experience with Agency platforms: i.e. Strata, Core, Advantage
  • Experience using Project Management software
  • Experience with marketing, customer data
