Software Developer

CTG is assisting our Fortune 100 Client with talented, DevOps-oriented engineers to join us, working alongside fellow software engineering professionals, as we continue to develop and improve the software that powers the Cloud. This area of Engineering is responsible for the technical design, service implementation and support of one of the world's largest and most interconnected set of data centers.

Project Location: Rochester, MN

Project Duration: 6 months with possible extension.

Responsibilities

* Receive requirements from stakeholders and team with squad members to develop and deliver innovative, company and industry impacting capabilities

* Design, develop and implement object oriented applications from prototype through implementation

* Follow agile software development practices such as sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint wrap up, sprint playbacks, retrospectives, and test driven development

* Implement, support, and work within a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery development model

* Engage with teammates in a daily collaborative style

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

* 1 years relevant work experience

* Expert knowledge of 1 or more OOP language

* Experience on one or more of the following languages (PHP5 , C/C , Java, Python, or Go)

* Strong knowledge of SOA / web services – SOAP, REST, XML-RPC, XML, JSON

* Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux

* Experience with relational databases and SQL (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)

* Experience in large systems software design and development

* Able to quickly learn new technologies and implement prototypes in a timely fashion

* Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills

* Ability to partner and communicate effectively with team members

* Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

* Knowledge / experience on Container technology (Docker)

* Knowledge / experience on Kubernetes
