The Food Service Representative III provides food service to patients, guests or customers. Assists patients with menu selection according to preferences and diet restrictions. Provides daily interaction with patients to ensure a high quality patient experience. May provide coverage in the absence of the Food Service Coordinator. Maintains a clean, sanitary and safe food production environment. May prepare food or drink items, assemble and deliver patient trays or catering events and perform daily cleaning of dishes and work areas. Receives and stores food and supply deliveries using FIFO principles and assists with inventory management. Acts as a liaison between, patients, guests, physicians, other hospital personnel and Food and Nutrition Services. Provides training of new team members. Performs other duties as assigned.
