JOB DESCRIPTION: Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains telecommunications equipment, Monitors, dispatches, reroutes tickets within ticketing system, Monitors and provides reports on system utilization, trunking and port optimization, Responsible for gathering, maintaining switch database for pool locations, Provides and maintains support for Avaya Communication Manager, Provides hardware and software revision management support, Tests trunks and links Implements enterprise-wide project plans and/or modification as directed, Provides and keeps current detailed documentation of processes, Updates Inventory Database to reflect current system hardware/software levels (TET), Provides MAC support to identified locations, Works on special projects as assigned by manager, Assigns, dispatches, and monitors reported carrier tickets for the locations as required, Coordinate and schedule vendor preventive maintenance, Maintains onsite telephony inventory. Extensive knowledge in specialized functions. A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered. Supervision Received: Minimal supervision. Work may be done without established procedures. IMPACT: Errors are very difficult to detect and would normally require significant expenditures to resolve. LIAISON: Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of importance to the function of the department or which may be a sensitive nature.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: AA Degree in related discipline or years experience in lieu of a degree and six (6) years related experience; OR, High School and seven (7) years related experience with relevant certification.
