* Serves as primary point of contact for monitoring inventory records and inventory-related actions

* Leads a team responsible for the coordination and monitoring of inventory reconciliation activities that address balance differences and discrepancies.

* Conducts studies, performs analysis, and researches distribution system procedures and practices to ensure compatibility with DLA required guidelines.

* Reviews, analyzes, prepares and presents statistical data relating to managed assets

* Researches and validates inventory data; certifies to the accuracy of supply documents such as inventories, reports of survey, adjustment actions, and other supply documents affecting balances or concerned with movement of stock.

* Resolves complex customer Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDRs) and Transportation Discrepancy Reports (TDRs)

* Ensures that the organization?s strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team?s strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products/services.

To qualify for a Lead General Supply Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

* Managing supply operations in order to address supply discrepancy problems.

* Leading other employees by activities such as coordinating, coaching, facilitating, consensus-building and planning techniques

* Resolving discrepancies of inventory management programs to ensure applicable laws/policies/regulations are followed.

* Analyzes and identifies potential weaknesses in the inventory management process.

* Ensures the accurate processing of inventory transactions

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.


Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
