Civitas Health Services is actively searching for the ideal candidate to serve as a Clinical Assessor to our growing team of professionals. The primary function of such Assessor is to perform assessments and reassessments for our Community Mental Health programs.

Your Life as a Clinical Assessor

* Responsible for the assessment/reassessment of referred clients and current clients;

* Responsible for the writing up and input of assessment data; the input of authorization data as necessary;

* Participates in regular collaborative consultation with the Clinical Director and Program Managers on new referrals and current clients who are in need of assessment or reassessments.

* Consults with Clinical Director and Program Managers as needed with regards to any client concerns that arise during the assessment process.

* Conduct verbal behavior and functional assessments, developing treatment plans, directly implementing the treatment plan, analyzing progress data, and modifying the treatment plan as necessary (DSM diagnosis and biopsychosocial assessments)

* Communicates in an articulate and professional manner with parents, individuals/clients; responds to grievances/complaints

* Solid clinical writing skills

* Represent Civitas Health Services in the community and corporate environments

* Performs other duties within scope of position

Basic Qualifications

* Licensure required; LCSW, LPC or Licensed Psychologist or equivalent preferred or be licensed eligible and currently pursuing licensure status

* Master's Degree in Behavioral Science

* 3 years experience with DMAS and other types of client billings

* 3 years of progressively responsible program management experience and staff supervision, including expertise transforming clinical staff into a highly functional team

* 3 years experience in a crisis setting with individuals and families

* Reliable transportation with a valid Virginia license, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance
