The Senior Manager defines the vision, strategy and principles for application architecture across the portfolio of technologies for Investment Accounting & Reporting and Property Management Accounting.

He or she will serve in both a consultative role as well as team member role within the Digital & Technology team to ensure the most optimal solutions are provided. The successful candidate will be accountable for the entire end to end solution for these LOBs including specific applications, integrations, infrastructure solutions, and data management. The successful candidate will maximize Digital & Technology's impact to the business by partnering with the business, enterprise architect group, and other IT organizations, as well as mentoring of team members.

Reporting Relationships:

The Senior Manager will report to the Director of D&T for IA&R and PMA.


At times will be hands on development on more complex deliverables – this is NOT a strategy only role

In conjunction with your Director and Enterprise Architects, establish technology strategy and roadmap for IA&R/PMA by understanding the business drivers

Establish a healthy, balanced approach between technology needs and value delivery

Provide guidance on execution of technology strategy

Mentor team members on technical skills

Perform code reviews

Work with existing enterprise architects, technology centers of excellence, other IT departments, and business technology groups

Partner with all key stakeholders to deliver world-class technology platforms and high-quality solutions to the business

Drive on shore and offshore blended team to significantly improve design concepts, Agile/Kanban execution, CI/CD, operational dashboard metrics and overall security

Operate is cloud first, open source first organization with a diverse technology ecosystem of multiple 3rd party component sand COTS packages integrated with custom built applications

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of 6 - 10 years of related experience and/or training, including 2-3 years of management level experience.

6 - 10+ years of broad experience in information technology to include rapid software development, Agile, business architecture, information architecture & strategy, IT strategic planning in a large global corporation. Including 2-3 years of management level experience.

Recent/Current hands on development experience in open source tools.

7+ years of Web & Mobile development experience. Adept at open source frameworks databases in these domains.

Recent hands-on experience with AWS, Java, full stack web development (Angular), data integrations, microservices, serverless / FaaS (AWS Lambda), postgreSQL, and integrations with 3rd party systems.

Expert knowledge in all phases of the SDLC from inception to support.

Must possess strong organizational, facilitation and critical thinking abilities, to assess complex problems, analyze options, navigate diverse perspectives and objectives and develop acceptable Enterprise application and governance solutions.

Strong business acumen and successful track record in aligning diverse groups and opinions.

Knowledge and experience with the Accounting domain are a benefit.

Experience developing or architecting enterprise data warehouse and reporting solutions
