Quality Control Specialist

Texans Credit Union has an exciting opportunity available for our Member Accounts Services department for a Member Account Services Specialist: Deposit QC Specialist! While this position does not required direct Q or audit experience, candidates with prior teller or platform role experience are encouraged to apply!

This position performs quality control reviews of credit union processes, including but not limited to reviewing, new membership applications new account forms, IRA accounts and transactions, closed account forms and other member initiated maintenance forms. The objective is to improve document accuracy, mitigate risk, maintain adherence to critical regulatory guidelines and internal credit union policies and procedures as well as reduce errors. Employee provides quality customer service to internal and external customers. In addition, this position cross-trains on other functions in the Member Account Services department.

Major Duties and Essential Functions

1. Performs the quality control review of credit union processes in a timely manner to ensure the various credit union processes are completed according to policies and procedures. Document the results of each review.

2. Updates tracking spreadsheets daily with quality control results.

3. Makes recommendations to improve the quality control process.

4. Makes recommendations to improve processes in the credit union based on the results of the Quality Control reviews.

5. Prepares monthly management reports.

6. Cross-trains on other functions in the Member Account Services department.

7. Assists with mail room duties.

8. Completes other projects or tasks as required or assigned.RequirementsSpecific knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position:

* Ability to handle multiple job tasks

* Ability to handle high volume of work

* Ability to pay close attention to details and process accurately

* Excellent PC skills including spreadsheet applications

Education:

High School diploma or GED.

Experience:

Two to four years of experience in working with new accounts or back-office operations.

Candidate must be able to successfully complete credit and background checks as well as drug screen.
