Space Planning Analyst - Bath & Body Works - Columbus, Ohio

The Space Analyst provides integrated support in the Macro and Micro Space Planning process, and/or works on special projects as assigned. The Analyst is responsible for providing analytical and execution support for the development and maintenance of Assortments and associated Planograms, wall charts, adjacency maps, store layouts and theme layouts. The Analyst conducts reporting and analysis on alternatives and will make recommendations regarding merchandise presentation, demand or inventory plans and/or execution in an effort to improve the productivity of our selling space and assortment. The Analyst will work cross-functionally with Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Visual Communications, Merchandise Planning and Inventory Deployment on related assortment and space planning issues. The Analyst reports to the Space and Assortment Planner.

Principle Responsibilities:

Pre-Season:

* Assist with the development and communication of all space planning outputs

o Assortment clusters

o Planograms

o Wall charts

* Update floorplans for all formats by theme

* Execute the Planogram assignment process

* Execute the feed to inventory deployment that provides information on SKU counts

In-Season:

* Execute updates to floorplans, Planograms, fixture iterations, presentation quantities, and layouts

* Assist in the development of store documentation and communications

* Maintain store lists

* Assist in the execution of store tests, launches, and edits

* Communicate with Inventory Deployment to provide information and receive input into space planning processes

Reporting/Analytics:

* Execute analysis for space productivity

* Prepare recommendations and alternatives for key financial meetings/decisions

Integration Points:

* Communicate with Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Visual Communications, Merchandise Planning and Inventory Deployment on related space planning issues; providing analysis and reporting as required

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field

* 0-3 years in a retail/consumer goods environment with preference given to those with a minimum of one year in merchandise planning, store management, finance and/or stores operations experience

* Merchant or merchandising experience a plus

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; strong aptitude with numbers; retail math skills

* Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast paced detail-oriented environment

* Ability to advance to high levels of computer literacy; exposure to relevant planning, finance, analytical, data management systems (Systems used: Intactix, SAP, CCI)

* Strong communication and presentation skills; can concisely present complex information/recommendations in terms meaningful to various audiences

* Ability to articulate detailed action plans to successfully accomplish a goal

* Understands and executes business strategy and goals

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel - required, PowerPoint - basics required, Word - a plus, Microstrategy - a plus, Access - a plus)
