Under limited supervision, design and administer procedures in the organization that sustain the security of the organization?s data and access to its technology and communications systems. Assess risk of exposure of proprietary data through weaknesses in platforms, access procedures, and forms of access to the organization?s systems and the data contained in them. Track security violations and identify trends or exposures that could be addressed by additional training, technical measures, or use of application tools to enhance security. May lead or execute simulated attacks or security violations to assess the organization?s data security measures.


* Must have at least intermediate experience in basic deployments with firewall, IDS, Mailing and/or WAF technologies.

* Strong infrastructure or operations experience in a UNIX/LINUX/Wintel environments

* Understanding of Data Center environments and resiliency

* Experience in working in a 24x7 operating model

* Experience with triaging an incident (service disruption)

* Knowledge of network technologies/protocols and computer security concepts in large scale enterprise technology environments

* Experience in configuring and maintaining Security Network Monitoring and control systems such as IPS, IDS, DLP, and firewall or other threat detection and prevention products

* Practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills; critical thinker with excellent judgment and initiative.


* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required


* 2 years of related experience


* Extensive knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts

* Knowledge of vulnerability assessment and management approaches and solutions

* Strong comprehension of Information Security practices including identifying risks, emerging cybersecurity threats, and risk mitigation

* Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact effectively at all levels of management and peers.

* Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to provide clear, effective communication regarding technical issues and impact to a client's business

* Experience communicating effectively with variety of internal customer contacts that span the altitudes of technical contacts and executive contacts

* Scripting is a plus. Experience working with firewalls and IDS technologies is required.

* SOC/NOC experience desired. Good verbal and written communication skills as well as attention to detail.
