The Federal Civilian Business Development Associate will have overall responsibility for the data, analytics and business development process implementation for the Vice President of Business Development for the Customer Group. S/he will also serve to organize, administrate and operate all executive assistant functions and support for the VPBD. S/he will take on the role of project manager for key FedCiv BD initiatives. S/he will serve as the 'key person' for the FedCiv CGVP BD and support the vice President in the execution of the role to organize, train, manage and operate the business development functions of the customer group, with the ultimate objective of growing profitable business for the customer group. S/he will work routinely with business intelligence and analytical resources at the corporate level; and be involved in corporate business development, information technology and enterprise initiatives. The individual successful in the role will have a good grasp of new and emergent technologies applicable to the development of decision-quality analysis and data presentation. This role will have frequent interaction with capture and business development teams, customer group executives and corporate leadership.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


* Managing the research, development and delivery of decision-quality analytic information synthesized from multiple systems

* Business analytics understanding and presentation

* Manage calendar / scheduling, travel arrangements

* Prioritize commitments for leader and team members

* Track direct reports staff locations on a daily basis

* Execute autonomy and sound decision making without executive intervention

* Correlate and monitor regularly scheduled due dates for timely completion of bi-weekly and monthly reports, Ops Review comments

* Complete expense reports to those assigned within the time specified in the policy guidelines, including reconciling bills, preparing and submitting check requests to accounts payable

* Organize the logistics support, agenda, invites and vendor participation for multiple meetings and conferences

* Onboarding assistance of staff

* Arrange catering service and conference room reservations for on-site and off-site meetings as required


* Interface with executive management, consultants, external customers and vendors; handle sensitive information with discretion and accuracy

* Promote and increase communications & team environment across multiple customer groups

* Work with IT and Finance to resolve issues

* Reviews drafts and finished documents for appropriate spelling and grammar

* Prepare, maintain/communicate staff meeting notes/action items with follow-up

* Arrange VTCs/conference calls


* Utilize online systems to process expense reports; make travel arrangements, order supplies, work in Costpoint, Fusion, CRM

* Provide administrative expertise in identifying IT problems and issues and reaching resolution, with supervisor oversight

* Composes reports, correspondence, PowerPoint presentations

* Monitor email traffic for timely responses, and actions


Required Skills and Experience:

* Eight years of experience in progressive roles

* Five or more years as Analyst or Executive Assistant

* Excellent telephone skills, oral and written communication (i.e. writing, spelling and punctuation)

* Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in behavior, manner, and dress

* Must possess the ability to problem-solve, and resolve calendar and other conflicts when warranted

* Demonstrated excellent attention to detail, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and adapt to changes in priorities in a fast-paced environment

* Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and multi-task, and understand and meet deadlines and due dates

* Highly organized, with ability to prioritize and multi-task; must be proactive and anticipate actions and impacts

* Team player – supports other administrative staff with events, etc.

* Ability to handle confidential and non-routine information

* Proficiency with Microsoft Products, including SharePoint and Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint
