Bowling Center Attendant

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Assist Manager with tournaments and special events.

* Provide special assistance to all special groups and tournaments.

* Verify incoming and current groups/events for the day referring to the schedule of events booking sheets and coordinating with outgoing desk clerk.

* Promote bowling hotel programs, special events to bowlers, place league standings and recap sheets at the desk prior to the beginning of league practice. Prepare and distribute awards to league bowlers.

* Clean and organize approaches, settee area, concourse and meeting rooms. Set up and break down meeting rooms for meetings.

* Visually inspect rental shoes and house bowling balls for wear and tear. Place bumpers up and down upon request.

* Communicate with management when supplies need to be ordered.

* Ability to work with interruptions and to perform multiple tasks while remaining collected in high pressure situations.

* Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.


* To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a track record of performing each essential responsibility satisfactorily.

* Provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to guests.

* Must be able to listen and respond to guest inquiries in a positive and professional manner.

* High School Diploma or GED required. Any combination of education, training, or experience listed that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

* Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

* Possess a strong attention to detail and engaging presentation skills.

* Has the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, clients, and general public.
