Big Fish Commissary- Decorator/Finisher

The Decorator/Finisher must be able to read and scale standardized recipes and carefully cut, layer and finish a large variety of cakes. He or she pays attention to detail, ensuring everything is on time, of the highest quality, and meets all health and sanitation guidelines. In addition, the Decorator/Finisher has a working knowledge of custards, cremes, mousses, ganaches, etc.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of bakery experience, an aptitude and creative flair for cake decorating, and knowledge of food safety and handling requirements. Formal culinary training highly desired. He or she must have a pleasant and courteous personality, complete tasks in a timely manner and be a TEAM player!


* Completes cake decoration according to BFRG specifications

* Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices

* Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation

* Performs other duties as assigned


* High school diploma or GED preferred

* Three years of relevant experience preferred

* Formal culinary training a plus

* Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices

* Highly professional and dependable

* Quality conscious and detail-oriented

* Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

* Basic computer and internet skills
