About the Position:

Serve as the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command's Supervisory Acquisition Management Analyst.

* Acts as command senior Career Program Manager for Career Program (CP) 14.

* Directs all activities associated with contract management and efficiency of contract processes and actions.

* Responsible for pre-award and post-award activities in support of contracting offices.

* Takes appropriate action to improve or re-engineer business operations, including cost reduction, within the office, and institute business management changes to obtain greater efficiencies.

* Coordinates with major subordinate elements/activities to administer the command contracting processes.

* Reviews correspondence, policy, and other business management materials for conformance to policy and strategic goals/objectives.

* This position requires a Top Secret security clearance.

* This position requires an Acquisition Corps (AC) Membership.

* This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to pre-employment drug testing and random drug testing.

* This position requires the employee to execute, as a condition of appointment, a written agreement to remain in the Federal Service in the position for at least 3 years.

* This position requires the submission of a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5 CFR part 2634, subpart 1 USOGE, 6/08) at time of hire and on an annual basis.

* This critical acquisition position requires Level III certification in the acquisition career field of Program Management within 24 months of entrance on duty.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing acquisition information, including integrating acquisition information with strategic and business plans and objective; directing all activities associated with the management of complex technology acquisition; and contracting pre-award and post-award, pricing, property disposal, government furnished property/equipment (GFP/GFE), weapon system program management requirements definition, data item descriptions and contract data requirements listings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03/GS-13.
